Moose’s Impact Wrestling contract was up in June. Now he will not be leaving the company for a while. This comes off the heels of him becoming #1 contender and presumably receiving an Impact World Title match against Kenny Omega at Slammiversary.

There were teases from Moose today that AEW and NXT might be an option for him. That doesn’t seem to be the case. The big man has inked a new deal with the company according to Dave Meltzer.

The terms and length of his new deal was not specified. It was previously reported that Moose was very close to signing a new deal if he didn’t already.

The former TNA Champion joined the company in 2016, debuting at Destination X in a World Title match between Bobby Lashley and Eddie Edwards. The 37-year-old has become a Grand Champion and two-time TNA Champion so far.

We will have to see what this means for the future of the Impact World Title. The fact that Moose just signed a new contract means that they know he’s not going anywhere for a while.

Are you happy that Moose is sticking around Impact Wrestling? Sound off in the comments!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
