Kenny Omega is currently the AAA Mega Champion, Impact Wrestling Champion and also the AEW World Champion. He has been booked as one of the best champions in recent memory and his high work rate speaks for itself.

However, holding so many World Titles comes with its own fair share of responsibilities. While speaking to Wrestling with the Week, Kenny Omega was asked about being the world champion for multiple pro wrestling promotions.

Kenny Omega revealed that it is both a blessing and a curse, elaborating that while he does get to compete in high-level matches and becomes the focal point of shows, Omega has to go through a very gruelling schedule that takes its toll on his physical and mental health. Omega added that he has to do a lot of multitasking as well.

“It’s a blessing and a curse. As champion, you get some high-quality matches, and you’re the focal point of the shows, but at the same time, there is a schedule that is required and a demand for your body and health and psychological health. There is a demand that goes into being a champion. It’s cool to look at pictures and be like, ‘wow, look at all these belts,’ but then I think, ‘Man, I have to defend these and make time to defend these.

I have to be that guy for the company, and you just count the days and weeks that you’re available to do it. It’s requiring a lot of multi-tasking. I’m hanging on, and I can do it right now, so I’m going to do it.”

Kenny Omega is set to defend his Impact World Title against Moose at Against All Odds on June 12, his AAA Mega Championship against Andrade at Triplemania XXIX on August 14 and his AEW World Title against PAC and Orange Cassidy at AEW Double Or Nothing on May 30. We will have to see if he will be able to retain all three of his titles.
