Don Callis is not an executive in Impact Wrestling anymore, but fans weren’t supposed to know about it yet. This was supposed to play out in the storyline, but someone from the website let the cat out of the bag early.

Callis and Kenny Omega are jumping from company to company as The Cleaner continues his mission as Belt Collector. It appears that Don Callis’ schedule opened up a lot more after he was removed from the executive website for Impact Wrestling.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that everything was supposed to play out on television to mirror reality. Callis wasn’t supposed to be publicly taken off of the website yet, but someone went ahead and did it. That gave everyone the clue that he was no longer in that executive role with the company.

What we were told is that they were doing a story to mirror real life and the impression was that it would end in TV storyline with Callis being part of AEW, and that at that point Callis would be no longer an executive on camera in Impact, but somebody changed the web site long before the story played out.

Don Callis is expected to continue following Kenny Omega around as his manager. He no longer has any executive power in Impact Wrestling, but it might have been time for him to move on anyway.

There is no word about Callis actually signing anything with AEW, but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if that is the next step in this situation.
