AEW Dynamite will be moving to TBS in January of 2022. This was an announcement that shocked the pro wrestling world. In addition to that, AEW: Rampage and four annual specials were also confirmed as part of the new deal.

While speaking to Busted Open Radio, AEW President Tony Khan discussed AEW Dynamite’s move to TBS in 2022 and AEW: Rampage. Khan revealed that WarnerMedia had asked Khan if he wanted to make AEW Dynamite a three-hour show.

Tony Khan said that he rejected WarnerMedia’s request for an additional third hour for Dynamite, adding that he always wanted to use an additional hour for a completely new show on a different night.

“It’s great for everybody here, it’s big news. We knew that another show was coming this year. I’ve been saying it for a long time that we were going to add another night, one hour. I didn’t want to do three hours of Dynamite. They (WarnerMedia) asked at one point if I wanted to do three hours of Dynamite. It came up about doing a third hour and I said I really believed in doing it on another night.”
