The Miz lost a zombie-filled match at WrestleMania Backlash to Damian Priest. The worst part is that The Miz suffered a legit injury in the process. He wasn’t really eaten by zombies, but that might be the excuse they use to keep him off television.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained how The Miz was injured during that WrestleMania Backlash match. It unknown how bad his ACL injury is right now, but it could keep him out of the ring for a long time.

“Okay, so he tore his ACL, but we don’t know the severity of the tear. The last I heard is it might be a partial tear so that might not be that serious. If it’s a full tear, you know, that’s surgery and probably, you know 7, 8. 9 months [off]. At 40 [years old], that’s not the best thing in the world. He’ll come back from it, I’m sure he will, but that’s a lot of time off. Hopefully for the best that it’s partial and he can make a quicker recovery. That injury is legit.”

It is really sad that The Miz was injured, especially since it took place during that zombie lumberjack match. We will have to see how long it takes for the A-Lister to make his return, but it might be a bit of a wait before that day comes around again.
