Bobby Lashley is WWE Champion and being protected in the process. He lost to Kofi Kingston this week on RAW, and that could set up something interesting down the line. That loss also signified a rarity for the CEO of the Hurt Business.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez dropped a very impressive statistic. WWE has protected Bobby Lashley for the last 18 months in a big way. The creation of the Hurt Business gave him some big protection and this week’s loss was just his fifth in that amount of time.
“Bobby Lashley, this was only the fifth time that Bobby Lashley has been beaten in the last 18 months. The most shocking stat is one of the other four times was against Ricochet.”
We’ll have to see how WWE carries on with Bobby Lashley’s character. They call him the All Mighty for a reason. WWE had their eye on pushing Bobby Lashley for a while and Vince McMahon was protecting him, as first reported by Ringside News in December.
