Kris Statlander made her return on AEW television after being on the shelf for almost a year due to injury. She returned on the 31st of March 2021 edition of Dynamite which saw Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor face off against Miro and Kip Sabian in an Arcade Anarchy match.

During the match, Statlander emerged from a ringside claw machine, pushing the plexiglass out of the machine straight into Penelope Ford’s face. However, it seems Statlander wasn’t originally supposed to be the one to come out of the claw machine.

While speaking to Aubrey Edwards and Tony Schiavone on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Statlander revealed that Orange Cassidy was supposed to be inside the claw machine originally.

“I know that was originally supposed to be Orange Cassidy’s spot, which I don’t get because he was in the match. Trying to think about it, would he just not be a part of the match and the entrance and then Chuck would just be getting double teamed the whole time and then Orange Cassidy pops out of it? To me, that didn’t make sense, but I don’t write or book anything, so it’s not my decision.”

Since her return to AEW, Statlander has been partnered up with the Best Friends and Orange Cassidy, even though the partnership might not have happened in the first place. We will have to see how Statlander will be booked now that she is back.
