Mia Yim was supposed to debut on SmackDown last week, but that’s going to have to wait. Now we know what those cancelled plans were.

Ringside News first exclusively reported that Mia Yim’s SmackDown debut was pulled. This was later confirmed by Dave Meltzer who said that WWE pushed her tentative debut to this week.

Fightful Select also confirmed our previous report along with giving some clarification about what those plans were. Mia Yim was supposed to start a feud with Carmella, but WWE changed those plans around.

Mia Yim was originally set to start a feud with Carmella, but was cut for time as WWE had to add in throwback content to fit the theme of the show.

We will have to see if WWE continues with their plan to debut Mia Yim on SmackDown this week. It is unknown if she will keep her Retribution name as T-Bar and Mace did, or whether she will get a fresh look with the return of her old HBIC character.
