Why Sasha Banks Was Kept Out Of SmackDown Women’s Title Picture After WrestleMania

Bianca Belair walked out of WrestleMania 37 after making history. She also won the SmackDown Women’s Title, but an anticipated rematch against Sasha Banks has not happened yet. WWE has their reasons.

Ringside News has been told that WWE decided to keep Sasha Banks out of the SmackDown Women’s Title picture for a very good reason. They want it to mean more when she re-enters her feud with Bianca Belair.

We were told that “there was no plan except for Bayley vs Belair” after WrestleMania. This is not an issue of WWE changing plans from Banks vs Belair.

A tenured member of the team told us that “Sasha taking a little time off to let Belair and Bayley have the spotlight” is the plan so “when Sasha attacks Belair, it’ll mean something.”

They didn’t want to “throw it all away in a three-way match.” Instead, WWE is letting this ride out without smashing the accelerator. They know that Sasha Banks is there to face Bianca Belair again, but they aren’t in a huge hurry.
