A couple of year ago, Kofimania was running rampant in WWE as fans rallied behind Kingston. It resulted in him winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 in 2019 and he held the title for around six months.
On the debut episode of WWE Smackdown on FOX, Brock Lesnar challenged Kofi Kingston for the title. In a move that still has fans question the booking decision, Brock Lesnar squashed Kofi Kingston in seven seconds in order to win the WWE Championship.
New Day member Xavier Woods took to Twitter and uploaded a throwback photo, where he could be seen wearing a Brock Lesnar t-shirt. Woods then revealed in the caption that he burned the t-shirt on October 4, 2019. This is the date where Lesnar beat Kingston for the WWE Championship.

Ever since his loss, Kofi Kingston has never been back in the main event title scene and it is unlikely he will ever again. However, anything is possible in WWE and we certainly hope Kingston will get another shot at the WWE Championship eventually.
