Impact Wrestling announced yesterday that Mauro Ranallo will be on hand at Rebellion on April 25th, but he won’t be calling the entire pay-per-view. The famous announcer is only being brought in to commentate the big title vs title main event match.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the deal between Impact Wrestling and Ranallo was struck when Frank Shamrock made an agreement with Anthem Sports. Mauro Ranallo will commentate the Rebellion main event and he will also do voiceover for two video packages.

The idea is to make it special by having Ranallo only call the main event. Anthem made a deal with Frank Shamrock and Ranallo signed on 4/14 to do the match, voice over two video packages to build the match and host a documentary “This is Rebellion” that will be out next week

Mauro Ranallo doesn’t come cheap, but Impact Wresting is bringing him in for their big Rebellion main event. We’ll have to see who is holding both the Impact World Title and AEW World Title when the event is over, but Ranallo will likely be screaming “mama mia” throughout the match.
