Mauro Ranallo left WWE around SummerSlam, but he is making his return to pro wrestling commentary on April 25th’s Impact Wrestling Rebellion pay-per-view.

ESPN’s Marc Raimondi reports that Mauro Ranallo will be on hand to call Kenny Omega and Rich Swann’s title vs title match at Rebellion. That match will see one man emerge as both AEW and Impact Wrestling World Champion.

Mauro Ranallo, one of the top broadcasters in combat sports, is returning to pro wrestling. Ranallo, the play-by-play man for Showtime Boxing and Bellator MMA, will be on the call for the Impact Wrestling title match between champion Rich Swann and challenger Kenny Omega on the Rebellion pay-per-view card April 25, sources told ESPN. Omega, the AEW champ, is trying to win another major title. Ranallo worked for WWE on and off from 2015 to 2020, leaving his role as the voice of NXT last August.

We will have to see if this return for Mauro Ranallo will open the door for anything else down the line. His voice will certainly add a lot to the Rebellion main event as he is sure to yell “mama mia” sometime during the match.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
