WWE is already preparing for their next pay-per-view, but they changed those plans in recent memory. Now WrestleMania Backlash is next in line.

Backlash and Money in the Bank originally had different dates. Money in the Bank was supposed to be on May 16 with Backlash taking place on June 20th. The company switched that around, and now Money in the Bank has not been announced. It will presumably happen in June, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer called attention to this fact.

“The pay-per-view was going to be Money In The Bank, and now it’s going to be WrestleMania Backlash.”

Drew McIntyre will get his rematch for the WWE Title at WrestleMania Backlash, but Money In The Bank will have to wait. We’ll have to see if WWE places their yearly Money in the Bank pay-per-view in the next month.

Last year’s briefcase sat on Otis for a long time before The Miz took it. The women’s MITB briefcase was won by Asuka, but then it had the RAW Women’s Title in it as Becky Lynch relinquished it due to starting her pregnancy hiatus.
