Randy Orton met Bray Wyatt’s Fiend at WrestleMania and that opening match of night two saw The Viper win. That wasn’t the original plan for the match at all.

We previously reported that Wyatt was supposed to win that match. Bruce Prichard and Vince McMahon sprung the surprise ending of that match on everyone at the last minute.

Fightful Select further noted that there was never a plan given about how this situation would end between Wyatt and Orton. All those involved knew was that Randy Orton was slated to get “a good period of time” off television.

There was never a plan in order for a Firefly Funhouse, and beyond that, many of those associated with the angle were never given an endgame at any point prior to the weekend, outside of the fact that it would write Orton off of television for a good period of time as originally planned.

Since Bray Wyatt didn’t defeat Randy Orton at WrestleMania then that makes us have to wonder if The Viper won’t leave television so soon. We’ll have to see who shows up as WWE continues after WrestleMania.
