WWE’s schedule is very busy during WrestleMania week, for fans and everyone else involved with the company. They are planning to pre-tape two episodes of SmackDown to prepare for this.

Ringside News asked around about this and we received some clarification. The episodes of SmackDown in question pertain to April 2nd and 9th. They plan to tape April 2nd’s episode on the 1st and April 9th’s episode on the 2nd.

We were told that they are making this move for “lots of reasons” including costs and the fact that it’s WrestleMania week. They are not taping the episodes out of order, but they are airing April 2nd’s episode on the same day that they will tape April 9th’s episode. We were not able to confirm the previous report that either show will be live.

WWE needs to be out of Tropicana Field by April 9th for the Ray’s first home game. Their final possible episode in the stadium will be April 5th’s episode of Raw at the latest. WrestleMania week is a very busy time for WWE and they are doing what they can to lighten the load.
