WWE might have to move NXT off of Wednesday nights due to the NHL moving in. This is due to NBC Sports Network closing down and it has nothing to do with AEW.

A new deal with ESPN and the NHL could be mean that this move won’t happen, but it is still expected by many. Shawn Michaels certainly heard this strong rumor that has been buzzing around for weeks.

While speaking to the New York Post, Shawn Michaels said a Tuesday night move wouldn’t change their strategy. They will continue producing the best programming possible for the black and gold brand.

“It’s always clearly easier when your sort of destination programming, so to speak. Nothing would change certainly for us. We still try to put the best show out there that we can. Clearly, I know that’s everybody’s goal. I think it would only be fair to say everyone knows that when you are not competing against another similar show that it makes it a little bit easier. It allows people to enjoy that. And then you think about the follow from Raw the next night. So, clearly, it certainly wouldn’t hurt.”

We will keep waiting for that announcement. They will probably have to make it soon. William Regal has two huge announcements that he’s ready to break tonight on NXT, but neither of them are expected to address their move just yet.
