AEW Using Dud Ending Of Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch In Storyline

AEW ended Revolution with an exploding barbed wire deathmatch, but fans were not impressed with the boom. Tony Khan plans to use that sparkler show dud to his advantage.

During the media call following the pay-per-view, Tony Khan addressed the dud ending for the main event. He said that they are turning this into a storyline where Kenny Omega can’t build an exploding ring.

The Wrestling Observer noted on Twitter:

Tony Khan says they are uploading the video of Moxley saying Omega can’t build a ring worth a sh*t to YT. Says he’s not sure what people expected outside actually blowing guys up. Omega building a dud is the story. Khan didn’t say or imply there was a misfire. ^JN

Jon Moxley said something about the dud explosions during his promo following the event. It appears that AEW is going to write the lackluster ending of their exploding barbed wire deathmatch into the storyline.
