WWE threw a big curveball at fans when The Miz captured the WWE Title at Elimination Chamber. It was obvious in hindsight that The Miz was planning something because he pulled himself from the Chamber match while stating that he didn’t need the match with his briefcase in tow. What is WWE going to do next?

The Miz and John Morrison are engaged with Bad Bunny and Damian Priest in storyline as well. The two sides are at odds with one another, and it appears that a WrestleMania match is on the way. The WWE Title complicates things for that angle.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that WWE is likely to get the title off of The Miz in some way. Bad Bunny could be involved, but it wouldn’t be best for whoever is winning the title from The Miz, presumably Drew McIntyre, to get assistance from the famous rapper.

“Damian Priest and Bad Bunny vs The Miz and John Morrison, that was the match that was originally for WrestleMania and I presume it still will be. I figure Bad Bunny and Damian Priest will be involved in — you don’t want them to be the reason he loses the title — especially if it’s to McIntyre, but they’ll probably be involved in some form of that to set up the other match, I’m just going to guess, you know it just makes sense to do it that way, but yeah, it’s kinda tricky.”

Bad Bunny’s involvement in WrestleMania is almost a certain thing at this point. He is WWE 24/7 Champion, and wearing that title proudly. We’ll have to see what WWE decides to do, but The Miz’s recent title win shakes up a lot of things on the road to WrestleMania.
