WWE likes to own a trademark for anyone who appears on their television shows. That recently became a problem when they failed to obtain proper written consent from a few Superstars.

According to Heel By Nature, WWE was denied trademark applications because they did not provide written consent signed by the Superstars in question. They will lose those trademarks if they don’t get that written consent in within six months.

The names in question include Dominik Mysterio, Kay Lee Ray, Chelsea Green, A-Kid, Amale, Amir Jordan, and Aoife Valkyrie.

WWE has run into issues like this in the past when it comes to locking down copyrights for names. Mia Yim, Keith Lee, and Mercedes Martinez all registered their names outside of WWE and the company had to abandon those trademarks.
