Seth Rollins has been out of action since Survivor Series when he sacrificed himself. He had a good break from WWE to celebrate the birth of his baby with Becky Lynch. It appears The Messiah could be on his way back.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Seth Rollins’ return is expected at the Royal Rumble. His return was teased a couple of weeks ago, but that didn’t happen. The Royal Rumble match certainly has enough possibilities for a surprise return for Rollins.

Fewer spots are announced than ever before, leading to expectation of surprises. One would expect Seth Rollins to return, since he was supposed to weeks ago and suddenly that changed without explanation.

We will have to see what kind of surprises await fans at the Royal Rumble. WWE needs a big road to WrestleMania because they have two nights to fill.

Rollins’ absence has also created a storyline void for Murphy and Aalyah. Neither of them have been featured on television since his hiatus started.

Ringside News will have complete coverage of the entire Royal Rumble event and everything that comes afterward as we head toward WrestleMania 37.
