WWE Friday Night SmackDown this week ended with Adam Pearce taking a bit of a beating from Roman Reigns after they bait and switched a match with Paul Heyman. Then Kevin Owens ran in for the save. This is not the way Heyman and Reigns envisioned things going down.
During Talking Smack, Paul Heyman addressed the elephant in the room first thing. He admitted that all the conspiracy theories are true in this situation. Then he broke down their plan. He said that Sonya Deville was about to be in charge of SmackDown because Pearce was out the door. Then Kevin Owens screwed up their plans.
“So I guess I was watching. It was the perfect plan. Conspiracy theories abound and they’re all true. We had Adam Pearce locked and Sonya was about to take over SmackDown because Pearce was out the door.”
“I even had to pull the strings which I did so damn well and I got Kevin Owens out of here early in the day and for the entire evening we had Pearce all to ourselves, and Kevin Owens screwed us up. Card subject to change.”
This move by Kevin Owens only enraged Roman Reigns even more. He will continue his cunning ways as they move toward the Royal Rumble event. Next week is the go-home show before that pay-per-view goes down. We’ll just have to see what they will be able to do next week.
