Mustafa Ali Reveals Interesting Twist In Storyline With New Day

Kofi Kingston experienced KofiMania on the road to WrestleMania 35. That was a very special time, but it all started by taking Mustafa Ali’s place. The leader of Retribution hasn’t forgotten about that either.

Kingston is out of action with jaw injury, and we don’t know when he will be back. Mustafa Ali’s stable had their target set on Xavier Woods, and that’s not likely to change this week. Ali dropped a passionate promo directed toward Kofi where he brought that piece of history into their current storyline.

“I pray to go almighty that your broken jaw keeps you out of the Royal Rumble and I hope you cannot make it to the Elimination Champion and I hope you miss WrestleMania for that and then you can know exactly how I felt sitting at home watching someone take what’s yours.”

Mustafa Ali didn’t cut this amazing promo on RAW, but he did drop it on social media. WWE also retweeted it, so we are going to count it as canon.

It stands to reason that Retribution is going to go after those who have wronged them in the past. This is a nice way to tie in some history. Now we will have to see how long it takes to set their targets on Vince McMahon or Triple H.
