Fans of the WWE’s Ruthless Aggression era would certainly remember Carlito, who made his debut on the main roster in 2004. He was involved in a feud with John Cena during that time.

Carlito’s run in WWE saw him winning the WWE United States Title, Intercontinental Title and Tag Team Championships twice before his departure from the company in 2010.

On a recent episode of his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross talked about Carlito’s six-year stint in WWE. Ross said that Carlito was a good worker and had a lot of potential, but Carlito’s lack of motivation led to his career not reaching the heights it could have.

Ross joked about Carlito not being lazy with his interactions with women. However, Carlito could not live up to his potential in the pro wrestling world.

“He’s a good worker. His only enemy has always been his own motivation. He can be as good as he wants to be, so therefore some perceive that he might be a little unmotivated, i.e., a little lazy. He wasn’t lazy in his interactions with the fairer sex because he was a Hall of Famer in that area. If he kept his eye on the prize and wanted to go in and work, he was absolutely extraordinary.”

Carlito was advertised for RAW Legends Night this past week. However, the former WWE Superstar did not appear as he had no interest in making short cameo.
