AEW experienced a huge loss on their roster as Brodie Lee passed away. He was legitimately loved by all, and those he shared the locker room with knew how bad his condition was. When the sad day came of his passing, Tony Khan told everyone at once.

During What Happened When, Tony Schiavone revealed that they all received an email saying that there would be a company wide Zoom call in half an hour. This is when everyone heard the terrible news that we lost Brodie Lee.

I think everybody did a great job keeping it close to the vest as the old cliché goes. We all knew it didn’t look good but we were all hoping he would kick out. The day that he passed away, we received an email that we were going to have a company wide zoom call in 30 minutes and I knew that if we were going to have a zoom call that quickly, something was bad. So, they told us about that.

Brodie Lee’s memory will not be forgotten and his legend is likely to grow as the stories of his life are told. He was an entertaining man who was passionate about pro wrestling and his family. The world lost a great man when Brodie Lee passed away, and AEW did the best they could to make sure their entire company family know that they lost a beloved member.
