WWE will sometimes change up a Superstar’s name for one reason or another. It’s rare that they will receive a second name change.

The company switched around Brendan Vink’s name after he was pulled from the main roster. Vink made a couple of Raw appearances prior to getting sent back to NXT. Paul Heyman liked Vink, but Heyman’s dismissal meant that Vink disappeared. He was initially paired with Shane Thorne and MVP was positioned to manage them.

WWE changed Brendan Vink’s name to Tony Modra. Then the actual Tony Modra, a well-known Australian footballer, chimed in and voiced his displeasure.

Vink uploaded a new Dark Side Of The Ring parody, and it’s pretty funny. You can check that out here. They used the name “Brendan Vink” throughout the video with no mention of Tony Modra.

The official WWE Performance Center roster also lists his name as Brenan Vink once again. It seems that Tony Modra is no longer in NXT.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
