WWE has big plans to continue spreading their reach around the globe. They have a passionate fanbase in India who are about to get some new programming.

According to John Pollock of Post Wrestling, WWE is kicking up their expansion in a big way. They are set start filming episodes of NXT India in January.

Multiple sources have confirmed that WWE is expected to expand their NXT brand into India first, and they will begin filming at the start of 2021. The new show will air on the WWE Network, and on linear television in India on Sony Picture Networks.

It was also reported that WWE’s initial plan for the NXT India brand will include an eight-man single-elimination tournament to launch the new WWE product.

At this time no exact airdate is known, but they do plan to start taping next month. WWE held a tryout in India last year. It is not clear who will be competing in this new brand.
