WWE’s NXT brand has experienced few instances of COVID-19 positive tests in recent memory. Now a top Superstar is positive.

According to Fightful Select, a top NXT Superstar has tested positive for COVID-19. It was also said that “this one didn’t necessarily have the concern attached to it that previous positive tests have had that led to an outbreak.”

The infected Superstar in question hasn’t been around large crowds of people, especially within NXT. The report did not name this Superstar, nor did it say if this positive test will change NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

It was reported that the brand has been criticized, both from outside and within, for how they have handled the pandemic. WWE opened the doors to the training facility, and the test schedule is described as “odd.”

WWE Superstars on the main roster are tested on a schedule prior to every television taping. This gives them time to get their test results back so they can finalize the script.
