WWE opened up their Network and there was immediately a question about royalties. Superstars were previously paid depending on DVD sales, but the WWE Network eliminated that practice almost entirely. It turns out that Chris Jericho isn’t getting a dime from all the content he was a part of that WWE is now charging fans $9.99 a month to watch.

While speaking to Andrew Yang on Talk Is Jericho, they went into WWE’s policies. Yang promised that this will change if Joe Biden wins the Presidential Election on November 3rd. This led Jericho to reveal that he gets no royalties for the WWE Network and it doesn’t make any sense how their business works.

“In my opinion, this really does have to change, and this is no ill will towards the WWE. It’s just the way it is. You just said all of these things. The fact, even, that they can show all of my matches on their Network that people pay for and I don’t get a dime of a royalty, it makes no sense. It’s not how normal business, normal entertainment [or] the normal world works.”

WWE gets to pretty much make up their own rules in a lot of ways. Their new policy to take over Cameo and Twitch accounts is also infuriating for a lot of people because it doesn’t register as something that makes sense.

We’ll have to see if anything changes, but Vince McMahon’s company doesn’t show any signs of changing their ways.
