Jim Cornette has been very vocal about his opinions about AEW since they opened their doors. This is something that he has spoken about openly on his podcasts. That bashing of AEW might have cost him a job.

Chris Jericho tweeted out saying that he heard Jim Cornette was still burying AEW. Then he said that if Cornette could just “pull his head out of his ass,” there might be a job offer coming his way.

“Heard Jim Cornette is still burying me for my work in AEW. All good because my stuff has been amazing and a huge money maker for my company. But the best part is, if he would just shut the f*ck up & pull his head out of his ass, we would probably offer him a consultant job.”

Jim Cornette has a ton of ideas about pro wrestling because he’s lived in the business for practically his entire life. He saw this tweet from Jericho which Le Champion eventually deleted.

Cornette re-posted the tweet from Jericho along with others in a message where he said that AEW couldn’t pay him enough to work with them.

Since @IAmJericho deleted this tweet, you gotta read it here. Chris, I’ll tell ya same thing I told Tony a year & a half ago–I’m the only one who’ll tell you the truth cause I don’t WANT a job. After I’ve actually SEEN your show, there hasn’t been enough money printed to hire me

We’ll have to see if Cornette and AEW can come to some kind of detente. The pro wrestling business and the money that keeps the entire thing going has the ability to sometimes change someone’s mind about things. For the time being, Jim Cornette seems to be doing just fine.
