Jeff Jarrett and Impact Wrestling were unable to reach a resolution in his case against them. Now a new attempt to re-start the legal process has been denied.

According to PW Insider, Jeff Jarrett’s motion for a new trial has been denied by Judge Waverly D. Crenshaw of the United States District Court of The Middle District of Tennessee.

The reason for this denial included the current pandemic “….because of the press of other Court business, the fact that criminal cases take precedent, and the impact COVID-19 has had on the ability to regularly schedule jury trials.”

Waverly did not issue the ruling with prejudice. That leaves the door open for them to approach this matter again at another time. The court is still trying to get both sides to sit down and negotiate a settlement instead of starting a new trial.
