AEW Still Keeping Tight Lid On Excalibur Situation

Update: Excalibur will reportedly be back on AEW Dynamite this week.

Original: Excalibur hasn’t been on AEW television since old footage from a PWG show surfaced where he dropped the N Word during promo. Kevin Owens was featured using that terrible word one of the videos as well. Owens is still on WWE television every week, but AEW lost an announcer.

It was first thought that Excalibur would be back on August 27th for Dynamite, but he wasn’t. AEW isn’t talking about Excalibur’s status as Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that nobody in the company will tell him anything about the situation.

“I don’t know, I haven’t heard anything about Excalibur. They don’t want to tell me anything about Excalibur. I was told he’d be back on the 27th, and he was not, but he may still be back. So, I don’t have an update on that.”

Excalibur’s situation hasn’t been addressed publicly by the company. He’s been out of public view, and fans are starting to wonder when they’ll see him appear next.

AEW returned to live Dynamite with ticket holding fans. They also have All Out on the horizon. We’ll have to see if Excalibur makes a return by then.
