WWE RAW presented an interesting show this week as the red brand entered the ThunderDome for the first time. The week prior, RAW Underground posted the first advertised contest for that weekly segment. Dolph Ziggler vs Ivar was supposed to happen, but it didn’t.

A lot of fans thought that the RAW Underground segment not delivering Ziggler vs Ivar as it did was another thing that Vince McMahon shifted around. That is not the case.

It was noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that RAW Underground segments are filmed in the afternoon. By the time Vince McMahon showed up at 7:00 PM it was too late to change any of the RAW Underground segments around.

Ringside News exclusively reported that multiple members of the roster were upset that Vince McMahon wasn’t there throughout the day. His absence wouldn’t have been so bad if they didn’t have to rush and get everything prepared as soon as he showed up. This meant that entrances, segments, and music suffered as well.

RAW Underground went off just as it was supposed to this week. The advertised match between Dolph Ziggler and Ivar was supposed to happen the way it did by not really happening at all.
