WWE needs to make sure they own whatever is on their television programming. They recently locked down a ton of NXT names and one would assume the company already had a couple of them.

According to recent filings, WWE went on a copyright spree in NXT on August 4th. They locked down the names for Karrion Kross, Kacy Catanzaro, and Jake Atlas. They also filed trademarks for James Drake and Moustache Mountain from NXT UK.

This follows another string of copyrights that the company filed on July 30th for Drew Gulak, Pete Dunne, Tony Nese, Jordan Devlin, and Dexter Lumis.

The company obviously has plans for everyone involve in those copyright filings. This is nothing new for WWE to file a copyright. It is certainly noteworthy how many they registered at the same time.
