WWE told their Superstars that participation in their television events during the pandemic was totally voluntary. This caused some people to make a decision to stay at home. Some people stayed out of concern for others, but Kyle O’Reilly stayed at home because he has a preexisting condition.

O’Reilly has diabetes. This makes him especially vulnerable to COVID-19. O’Reilly is set to break his hiatus from the black and gold brand next week. He will tag with Bobby Fish to take on Imperium for the NXT Tag Team Titles.

It’s great to see that Kyle O’Reilly is coming back to work, but that doesn’t mean the risk is gone. He will certainly perform at a high level next week on NXT.

Dakota Kai and Rhea Ripley will wrestle in a #1 contenders’ match next week. Damian Priest, Oney Lorcan, and the debuting Ridge Holland will wrestle in a triple threat match where the winner will receive a spot in the NXT North American Title ladder match at NXT TakeOver: XXX.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
