Jon Moxley will be on AEW Dynamite this week as champion. He has yet to have someone new step up to challenge him after defeating Brian Cage at Fight For The Fallen. While speaking to the Dan Le Batard Show, Moxley promised something big this week on Dynamite.

There are a lot of things going on in the world’s professional wrestling scene. Moxley told Batard that hardcore fans who follow the world’s wrestling scene will be very happy with a big surprise this week.

“This Wednesday is going to be an awesome show. I’m not going to spoil it, but I will tell you, there will be a big surprise. One that made me exceedingly happy, especially for the more hardcore fans who follow the scene around the world. You’ll get a big surprise. Casual fans or more first-time viewers, it will be an absolute treat to watch. There will be a kick-ass match [on Dynamite].”

Tony Khan promised that one of the top indie wrestling names in the world will be on Dynamite this week. This mysterious top indie name will face Cody Rhodes for the TNT Title in an open challenge. It’s unclear if Khan and Moxley are talking about the same person, but it’s likely.
