WWE has a lot of things in the pipeline as they roll into the Horror Show at Extreme Rules. This week will feature an Intercontinental Title match, but the result might not make all fans happy.
Matt Riddle will get a chance to capture the IC Title from AJ Styles this week. The Original Bro defeated Styles already and this time the title is on the line.
Fightful reports that despite getting a great introduction on the WWE main roster the company has no plans to put the IC Title on the King Of Bros right now.
As of now there aren’t plans for Matt Riddle to become IC Champion. The plan for this week’s show calls for AJ Styles to defeat him and join in with Baron Corbin for a beat down.
Matt Riddle vs AJ Styles was rumored for SummerSlam. We’ll have to see what the company decides to do. Riddle’s first actual feud is set to be against King Corbin.
There are a lot of things going on within WWE that could cause a change at any moment. All reports about plans should also include that footnote at this point in time. Just don’t expect the Original Bro to pull down a title so soon in his main roster run.
