WWE 2K20 did not meet the mark. They aren’t even putting out another video game in the traditional 2K franchise this year. 2K wants to make sure their next offering is on point. WWE 2K Battlegrounds is dropping instead.

2K was teasing big reveal for today. They hyped the announcement by showing off Bray Wyatt’s Fiend design for the new game. That big announcement arrived just as promised.

The new cover art for WWE 2K Battlegrounds was revealed on July 8th, 2020. It is slated for a September 18th 2020 release. The standard edition will be $39.99 with a deluxe version at is $49.99.

As you can see from the cover art they included a lot of Superstars. Legends like Andre The Giant and Yokozuna are right alongside Roman Reigns and John Cena. Ronda Rousey is also prominently featured battling a cartoon version of Charlotte Flair.

They also dropped a new trailer for the game that shows off a lot more of what to expect. This will be a very unique experience for pro wrestling fans.
