Brian Pillman Jr Set To Make AEW In-Ring Debut

Brian Pillman Jr was spotted in the crowd during AEW Fyter Fest. It was unknown at the time if he wrestled at Daily’s Place as well. Now we know the answer.

AEW revealed that Shawn Spears will take on Brian Pillman Jr next week on AEW Dark. This will mark the second generation pro wrestler’s All Elite Wrestling in-ring debut.

Brian Pillman Jr made joke about fans spotting him in the crowd. He wore sunglasses so he wondered how they were able to crack his disguise.

MJF was allowed to work for AEW while under MLW contract. His deal was signed prior to AEW becoming a thing. Older MLW contracts say wrestlers can’t work for Impact Wrestling , ROH, and WWE. Brian Pillman’s contract has the same wording.

Pillman is still under MLW contract, but it appears he is using the AEW loophole as MJF did before him. AEW has since signed MJF to an exclusive contract.

This is an interesting situation, but it should also be noted that new MLW contracts do list AEW as a prohibited company to work for while under contract.
