Edge and Randy Orton will do battle at Backlash, but the match was already filmed. This provides WWE with ample opportunity to make sure Edge vs Randy Orton is the best match possible.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez commented on Edge and Randy Orton’s upcoming Backlash match. Since the match is already in the can, there are some details out about what they recorded.

Dave Meltzer previously stated that this match will involve a lot of selling. It will also likely be very long as Bryan Alvarez commented that he heard the two went over 30 minutes once again.

“I believe they went 30-35 minutes, so if you were expecting an 18-minute match after they went 45 minutes at WrestleMania think again.”

Edge and Randy Orton wanted a match without all of the bells and whistles that a last man standing match provided them. The two went 36 minutes at WrestleMania 36 in that unconventional match. Apparently, they are going to put on the greatest show they can in a typical wrestling match as well. This could be a long night.
