Finn Balor Made The History Books At WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House

Finn Balor is the first-ever WWE Universal Champion, but before that he was an NXT Champion. He also wrestled during his fair share of TakeOver events. Last night’s NXT TakeOver: In Your House was a special night for multiple reasons.

Finn Balor defeated Damian Priest in a match that made the former Punishment Martinez for a lot of fans. It was also a big match for Balor because he won his 11th TakeOver match. That victory put him ahead of every other Superstar in history.

Finn Balor also has victories over Johnny Gargano, Matt Riddle, Tyler Breeze, Kevin Owens, Neville, Samoa Joe twice, and he defeated The Ascension while tagging with Hideo Itami. Balor also picked up two wins at NXT TakeOver: Respect in the semifinals and finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic while teaming with Samoa Joe.

This is a pretty impressive notch in Finn Balor’s belt. He had to spend some time on the main roster between his stints in NXT, but those wins from his first run still count.
