AEW has some big plans for the future despite the curve-ball COVID-19 threw at everyone. AEW Dark is the company’s weekly YouTube show, but they have featured some top tier names. This is all by design.

Jon Moxley is set to wrestle this week on AEW Dark against Robert Anthony. This will likely be a win for the AEW World Champion, but that’s exactly what they need to happen. The company will also likely draw more viewers to their dark match show because of Mox.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that AEW Dark is very likely coming to TNT. The company signed an expansion with Warner Media and they’re getting and additional show. Alvarez stated that the company should be building AEW Dark up to make it a bigger deal.

AEW Dark booking major names will encourage them to tune in. Once the show is on TNT it will likely be easier to get fans to tune in. This is especially true if they were already watching AEW Dark.

Jon Moxley wrestling on AEW Dark might have confused some fans. It is no different from how WWE used to bring out top performers for enhancement talent on Saturday morning television back in the day. A big difference is that AEW enhancement talent are permitted to fight back a lot more.
