WWE fired co-head writer of Friday Night SmackDown Chris DeJoseph. He had just received promotion at the time as well. His dismissal from the company was sudden and due to something he did to upset the Chairman.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Chris DeJoseph was fired from his role on SmackDown due to “highly unprofessional behavior.” During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed our report and then provided a few more details.

“Something happened with Vince and I don’t know exactly what it was, but he was let go on Friday. Everyone got the word on Friday afternoon.”

It was also stated that it’s likely AEW won’t be interested in bringing Chris DeJoseph in. He apparently received the job from WWE after trashing AEW on a regular basis.
