We are saddened to learn about the passing of Grant Berkland, better known as Danny Havoc. He wrestled for twelve years all around the indies and was known as the “The Deathmatch Drunkard.”

Havoc’s cause of death has not been released at this time. CZW released a heartfelt memorial for Havoc after learning of his passing.

This cuts too deep. Grant “Danny Havoc” Berkland. He was an inspiration to so many and a friend to all and our hearts go out to his family and loved ones.
We can take a small comfort in knowing the entire wrestling community are sharing the same grief right now.#RIPDannyHavoc

The Iowa native was trained by Chris Hero, DJ Hyde, and Mike Quackenbush. The tributes for Havoc are flooding the IWC as fans and pro wrestling promotions all remember him.

Danny Havoc’s retirement match was on September 9th, 2017 against SHLAK at GCW’s Run Rickey Run event. He lost that deathmatch, but he gave it all, just as he did every time he stepped in the ring.

Our thoughts go out to Havoc’s family and friends during this sad time of loss.
