AEW is bringing in a TNT Championship Title. Cody Rhodes and Lance Archer will battle for the new title at Double Or Nothing on May 23rd. Mike Tyson will be there to present the champion with their new title. That was a big get, but it seems like TK and Iron Mike are pals now.

One fan asked AEW how they plan to represent the new TNT title in their weekly top 5 rankings. Khan stated that the AEW World Champion and the TNT Champion will be placed above the top 5 singles competitors in their weekly rankings.

It’ll be a similar format, but going forward we’ll have the 2 male singles champions ranked at the top above the Top 5.

We’ll have to see what level the new TNT Title is represented. Hopefully, this title will be legitimized by quality matches as AEW introduces their first “secondary title.”

It would also be interesting to know what would happen if AEW Dynamite ever leaves TNT. They just signed a multi-year contract extension so they have a long time to worry about that.
