Hulk Hogan turned heel when he was with the nWo, but he didn’t appreciate being booed before then, brother. Sid remembers his time in WWE well, but he didn’t have the best time of it.

While speaking to Wrestling Inc, Sid revealed a backstage fit that he watched Hulk Hogan throw. They were backstage at the 1992 Royal Rumble and Hogan was booed. The Hulkster proceeded to point a finger at Vince McMahon.

“Most of them were jealous to the point that I actually gave my notice. At the Royal Rumble when they booed Hogan, Hogan came back into the locker room screaming and crying at Vince and saying he planned that to happen to him. I actually went to Vince that night and offered my handshake and said, ‘Vince, I gotta go.’ Everything he promised me to come there never worked out and I left a lot of guaranteed money in WCW to come work for just a percentage of houses. I didn’t put an ultimatum on them but I took a big chance going there.”

Ric Flair won the 1992 Royal Rumble to become WWE Champion. Sid and Hogan got into an argument in the ring after the match. They had to be separated by security. It turns out that backstage jealousy really got to Sid.

It’s all good for Sid now as he claims to make more money now than he ever did in his pro wrestling career.
