WWE has their own way of doing things, but AEW wanted to be different. They thought of as many aspects as possible to make sure their presentation is unique as well.

AEW music producer Mikey Rukus did a Q&A on Reddit. One fan asked him why AEW theme songs are quieter during entrances than WWE plays their music. Rukus replied that this was all part of the plan.

“This is done by design. In terms of a sports based presentation, when you watch UFC, or any other sporting event, the music is all in house. The focus is on the overall atmosphere rather than pushing the music 1000% front and center. Just a different approach and I’ve come to enjoy it.”

The spectacle of an entrance isn’t the only focus in AEW because the wrestler making their way to the ring is the center of attention. This difference in presentation has gone on to become one of the little things that all fans enjoy, but only a few actually noticed.
