Impact Wrestling Announces #1 Contender Tournament For Championship Title

Tessa Blanchard did not make it to the latest set of television taping for Impact Wrestling. The Impact World Champion was stuck in Mexico during a pandemic. When she gets back there will be a new #1 contender for her.

During Impact Wrestling this week, a #1 contender tournament was revealed. The winner will get a shot at Blanchard’s title.

The first round matches are as follows:

• Rohit Raju vs. Trey Miguel
• Sami Callihan vs. Michael Elgin
• Hernandez vs. Mad Man Fulton
• Rhino vs. Ken Shamrock

Moose was in the tournament, but he is the TNA World Champion. Rohit Raju took Moose’s spot.

This tournament will start next week. The time and location for the next Impact World Title shot was not revealed. It might depend on how soon Tessa Blanchard can make it back.
