Mandy Rose Reveals WWE WrestleMania Moment With Otis Wasn’t Scripted Backstage

WrestleMania 36 included a few memorable moments. Otis and Mandy Rose finally locking lips in the middle of the squared circle is something that a lot of fans will have burned into their brains for a long time to come.

The celebration at the show of shows continued for the love birds when they got backstage. Mandy Rose recently spoke to Sports Illustrated where she revealed that her backstage segment with Otis at WrestleMania 36 was totally unscripted.

“That was just us, off-script, being ourselves. I was shocked it got so many views. We’re really thankful that people are enjoying this.”

Rose tried to pitch an idea of working with Otis even before this angle started. Everyone pitched in, but this was a program that came together due to their drive to tell a good story.

“It’s hard to get in Vince’s office, but I finally got in and I pitched this story. He loved it, he had some ideas, and then Sonya and I had a lot of say in the creative, which was really cool. We were able to write a lot of it. We all worked together, and that’s one of the reasons it’s worked so well. Everyone’s been really passionate about it.”

Mandy Rose and Otis certainly had a unique WrestleMania moment. We’ll have to see if they can stay together an entire calendar year so they can have another one next year in front of actual fans.
