Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were released from WWE this week. Their releases came a couple of months after they signed new five-year deals worth $750,000 a year each. Now they are no longer employed.

While playing games on his Mixer stream, AJ Styles talked about Anderson and Gallows’ release. It hit him hard and he’s not happy about it. Styles said that The Good Brothers are his family and he feels as though he couldn’t protect them.

“If you guys didn’t know, Gallows and Anderson, guys that are like my brothers were released yesterday. That one hurt really bad. The only way I know how to explain it is that these guys are my family and I couldn’t take care of my little brothers.”

“That’s the way I feel about it, I’m the oldest and I’m supposed to take care of them. I didn’t manage to do that and I feel responsible in some weird way for them being released. It’s devastating. I don’t know any other way to explain it.”

This is very sad time for WWE, especially for AJ Styles because he lost a big part of his on-screen act. It looks like Anderson and Gallows were done in during the Boneyard Match. Being taken out of action by The Undertaker isn’t the worst way to go, but this entire situation was unexpected and incredibly shocking.

Anderson and Gallows will continue as a team. They even released new merchandise to prove it. We’ll have to see what’s next for the Good Brothers, but AJ Styles will have to walk alone once again in WWE.
