Multiple WWE Superstars Released

WWE announced today that they are cutting expenses across the board. This comes with Superstar releases. Now we have our first batch of names.

PW Insider reports that Curt Hawkins, Karl Anderson, Lio Rush, EC3, and Drake Maverick have all been released from their WWE contracts.

This is a very uncertain time right now. There is no guarantee that AEW is in the position to sign any of them. So the “Cody gifs” might be premature.

Hopefully, there won’t be very many more to come. WWE did say to expect 40% of their staff to be cut. It was noted that more names will be added.
